Common use

Iverjohn tablet is an antiparasitic medication. It is used to treat parasitic infections of your intestinal tract, skin, and eyes. It works by paralyzing and killing the parasites causing the infection.

Dosage and direction

Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take this medicine on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after food. Do not take with food. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take all of your medicine as directed even if you think you are better. Do not skip doses or stop your medicine early.

Precautions

Consult your doctor if you have any of these conditions:
Asthma; liver disease; an unusual or allergic reaction to ivermectin, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives; pregnant or trying to get pregnant; breast-feeding.

Contraindications

No not use this medicine if you are allergic to Ivermectin.

Possible side effect

Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:
Allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue; breathing problems; changes in vision; chest pain; confusion; eye pain, swelling, redness; fast, irregular heart rate; feeling dizzy, faint; fever; redness, blistering, peeling or loosening of the skin, including inside the mouth; seizures; uncontrolled urination, bowel movements; unusual swelling; unusually weak or tired.

Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
Constipation, diarrhea; headache; joint or muscle pain; loss of appetite; nausea, vomiting; stomach pain; tender glands in the neck, armpits, or groin; tremor.

Drug interaction

Medicines that treat or prevent blood clots like warfarin.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose of Iverjohn, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Overdose

If overdose is suspected, contact a local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: numbness, tingling, trouble breathing, loss of coordination, seizures.

Storage

Keep out of the reach of children.
Store at room temperature below 30 degrees C (86 degrees F). Keep container tightly closed. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
